About Gal

Hey, Gal Chen here. I’m 29 Y/O, I live in Tel Aviv, am a proud owner of two cats and about 20 pairs of shoes.
I’m always looking forward to take on new challenges, and love learning new things. I try to never assume I know the answers before I ask every possible question.

I’m an irreparable workaholic. I love diving deep into projects, understand their needs, both through quantitative and qualitative research. I’m good at understanding the big picture, but no less, finding a way to implement it and making it obtainable. I understand users, and am good at mediating their needs and views to developers and designers (while doing a bit of both myself).
I have knowledge in several fields, and am VERY good at learning new skills. I always try to learn more, and be up-to-date with new technologies and tools.

Think there might be something we can do together? Drop me a line!

features

icon-01

writing and marketing

I’ve been writing professionally for the past five years. I have experience in journalistic, creative, technical and academic writing, including, of course, comprehensive research of the topics in hand.

icon-02

DATA ANALYSIS

I have a passion for raw data. One of my browser’s most viewed sites is the Israeli Bureau of Statistics. I believe that having a lot of data isn’t enough, and asking the right questions is at least as important.

icon-03

SOCIAL MEDIA

I love social media, and have quite a strong presence in it (in the Israeli community, at least). Twitter is my preferred medium, while Facebook is a close second, but I try to stay on top of SM trends all around.

DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING

I am proficient in Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and web-design code, especially HTML5 and CSS. I know SQL, XPATH and XSL programming, and some JS. I illustrate for fun and retouch camels to pictures as a statement about life.
